Prep Teaching Resources
These are the teaching materials for 5-6 year olds. The assumed teaching objective is that they consolidate the simple letter sounds previously learnt and start adding to these with blends and common digraphs such as 'sh', 'ch' etc. They will also practice their blending skills to more fluently read CVC words, adding in CCVC and CVCC words as they learn the new sounds. This is an exciting time when previous learning all comes together and significant progress is more obvious.
